So I was at a local Chinese place getting takeout for dinner, wife text me to order a side of those tapioca balls without the drink, my daughter likes eating them as is for dessert.  So in my clumsy Chinese, I asked the lady taking my order if she sells "boba". Shot me a weird look, so I repeat my request.  Then I realized if you say "boba" in Chinese without adding milk tea after it, it sounds like I'm ordering a side of big boobs.  I got out of the restaurant quickly embarrassed with my takeout food, but without my side of boobies .  I'm sure I gave the restaurant staff a good laugh.  :D
 
On Sunday / Mother's Day, I was hanging out with an ex-nun. Same as I have pretty much every week for the last six months. I love this elderly lady, Miss Lee. We gave each other a big hug. She wished me a happy Mother's Day. I also excitedly wished her a happy Mother's Day... and asked how many children she had because I couldn't remember. She paused and seemed to be searching for words. "Uhhh. None." Right when she said that, it started to sink in. Thanks a lot, faulty brain of mine!  ??? For the next couple minutes while I was sitting next to her, I turned to my husband and was like, "I just asked the nun how many kids she has. I'm so embarrassed!" Then he said, "Keep it down. She can hear you!" Great, that just made things better.

In my defense, there is an "ex" there. I just didn't know how long that ex was. Not long enough, apparently.
 
Haha!  That's funny regarding the boba.  Luckily my tones are so bad they probably don't even understand, haha.

Which place was this?  Always want to know what places people are eating at.

Spicy City on Culver...lots of mainland chinese patrons... i just get the cold trio combo.. don't really like the cooked dishes as the quality is substandard.
