Thanks everyone. I will be going up to Redondo to have dinner and drinks with my cousin. I will probably posting about a great restaurant and a few bottles of wine.

I ended up going to Santa Barbara and staying at the Hotel Oceana - not Bacara or the Four Seasons, but still across the street from the Pier. :)

I stayed there few months back, great location, right on the beach.

going there again sometimes in october, most likely to the same hotel.
 
That's 3.1 in Newport Beach. Literally coordinates put it at Jamboree and the 73.

In Costa Mesa (almost over the quake) it felt very jerky. Three abrupt jerks.
