No its pinging... I try to run the car at the limit of 91 octane and then put in a 6000rpm limit. I switched out to the 6500rpm pill. It was just too much for the cheap-0 pee water gasoline that california has. If i had put in some Torco or 93 octane it would have been better.



I originally spec'ed the valvetrain to take up to 15 psi nominal and 7000 rpm. The engine is incredibly overbuilt, which is what you want with road and open track stuff.

On race day I put the 5800rpm pill.... not to worry though I rarely push the car past 5000-5500, at that point you're really speeding on streets... which isn't too safe. Anyways good luck
