Door pull-up bar

$30 at Wallgreens. I hate using dumbells to work out the lats. I'm so glad I got this, works great.

If your friend weighs 325, pull-ups are probably a bad exercise to consider. Simply put, he is probably too heavy to do them regardless of whether he is using a home device like the one in the picture, or a (non-aided) pull-up machine in a gym.

Probably the best exercise for someone that weight to consider is walking. After taking care of the cardiovascular system, he can (and should) introduce free weights.

only problem is you cant do anything wider than shoulder grip.

It possible to close the door with that? Is it easy to remove in case you want to close the door?

Lol can't close door with it on. Super easy to remove.

No straps, but they were in the instructions, maybe i got screwed.

I'm 6ft 200lb, my knees aren't too far from the ground when I'm hanging. I do have pretty long arms tho.

Another variation is the P90X bar:

[quote author="Astute Observer" date=1227678793]Wow, $50 for a metal bar that can't be adjusted or folded?

I don't know how big of a market there is, but if I send a blueprint out to China, I can sell it for $30 each, and still make a great profit. And it is adjustible for different shoulder width and body height, as well as foldable so you can put it under you bed.</blockquote>
