I've seen this twice now, where the sold price listed on Redfin is exactly twice the actual sold price. Does anybody know why this would happen or how common it is? The two examples are as follows:
<a href="http://www.redfin.com/CA/Riverside/7559-San-Felipe-Ave-92504/home/4986508">7559 San Felipe, Riverside</a>
It's marked as sold at $146k, but I've heard from another source that it actually sold for $73k.
<a href="http://www.redfin.com/CA/Riverside/3450-Carlsbad-Way-92506/home/4974846">3450 Carlsbad, Riverside</a>
Redfin has now corrected the error on this one, but for months it was listed there as being sold for $260k, instead of the actual $130k.
I actually came close to putting in an offer on the Carlsbad house, although I wouldn't have paid $130k for it. Very good neighborhood and it was turnkey inside, but it's only a 2/1 and, most negatively, the backyard borders the 91 freeway, which is why I hesitated. I'm glad I didn't get it, frankly.
