Craigslist deals getting better

NEW -> Contingent Buyer Assistance Program
Anyone notice the deals on craigslist are getting better and better? I have had a lil trouble selling stuff lately though. Picked up this 1yr old micro-suede couch for $75. Just a few cat scratches on it, hardly noticeable. I have a cat who is likely to do the same anyways, so y not let someone else pay for the cat depreciation. Guy I bought it from had a super nice house in Ladera Ranch, new looking construction.

That's a tree? All I see is some shredded green plastic super glued to some pipe wire trying to pass off as tree.

And... no on putting the tree up before t-day. You will be so sick of x-mas by the 15th, that you will hide in a closet come the 25th.

It's not even Thanksgiving.</blockquote>

In the retail sector - after Halloween, all bets are off.

Is that the carriage style apt?

Anyways, thanks for taking the pic.

I do like your purchase, good taste.

Did the owner say how much s/he paid for it?

Thx

No carriage style, got the same floor plan beneath us. Not sure what previous owner paid.

Have you considered the possibility that he just hasn't taken it down from last year?

I think we need to have an ornament party for Upperlowerclass.

The tree needs some more glimmer and glam. :coolsmirk:

Hey, we should start a thread and everyone should take pictures of their Christmas Tree.

It would be cool to see how everyone decorates their tree.

Also, did everyone see the dumbells under the side table.

Upperlowerclass put them there for the picture so we would all subconsciously think that he was buff.

When I was in college, I had a Coors Light Christmas Tree one year. This wasn't it, mine was way cooler. I have no pics.

My roommate set up the tree and went to work. I saw sixty odd beer cans and a roll of yarn and got busy. He wasn't impressed. Something about being sacreligous or some shit like that.

BTW, I find the Craiglist offerings of late to be much thinner in the stuff I'm interested in.

I saw a 50" plasma that was a year and a half old that sold for $4000 new offered at $1950. I saw a brand new one that was technically superior at Best Buy last night for $1399.

People selling CD's have been asking equally insane prices.

Used DVD/CD/TV is worth more than new ones, just like resale homes. You should know it by now.</blockquote>

Apparently I didn't get that memo.

I bought a 32" 1080i Samsung LCD 17 months ago because my letterbox CRT Sony let it's smoke out one day when I went to turn it on. It was like $1900.

I bought my Mom and Dad a new 46" Samsung this year in April - also 1080i but a bunch bigger and more features. $1600.

I am going to buy a new Panasonic 50" plasma for the living room (this is the little brother to the THX certified plasma). As recent as a month ago, it was $2000. It was $1600 on Friday, and $1399 on Monday night. It might be free by the middle of December if this keeps up.

What I really need is a little TV for my office, but screw it. My wife and I won't fight over the TV anymore.
