I don't often enjoy street performers but I thought this guy was really intriguing. Even better in person, really. His name is Robert Culbertson and he plays the Chapman Stick. It's a stringed instrument that was invented in the 1970s. In addition to playing, he also teaches it. I recorded this video of him performing at Pier 39 in Fisherman's Wharf, S.F. last week. He's one of those people where you wonder what he's doing sitting on a dock.
