I am curious how many of you know the following facts:

In a Starbucks Venti Cappuccino, there are only two shots of expresso, which is the same number of shots in a grande. In other words, when you buy a venti cappuccino, you are paying extra to get a cup of diluted grande with extra milk.

Starbucks, schmarbucks......try some of the GOOD stuff ! DD ! FTW !!!

Troop - I used to fill my suitcase up with Dunkies every time I went home to Boston. I was always nervous that the security guards were thinking I was trying to cover up a cocaine stash J/K

Now I can get it locally.

Trooper--kind of a far drive to LA for a cup of Joe, especially considering gas is nearing $4/gallon :) But if I do drive for coffee it's got to be Kean Coffee in Newport Beach...the real deal.

CalGal. The minute I drive out of Bradley Int'l Airport in Hartford, my first stop is at the DD just off the property. Gotta get my fix ! I've seen it in Ralph's now, but my little coffee maker doesn't heat it up like the commercial machines do....so much better at the store. Oh, and a chocolate frosted please.

yes, I admit it....I do eat donuts.

I'm not much of a coffee drinker, but I do occasionally enjoy a Lavazza espresso. IMO, Starbucks and Dunkin' Donuts both have horrid coffee that is only fit to be served to prisoners!

Coffee Bean and Pete's Coffee are my faves.

Thanks KD, I also make an awesome Cup of Tea!

It's Saturday morning.... A perfect time to hold a DD coffee on one hand, a Boston Cream on the other... damn I'm hungry.

i love coffee, and I make my own drinks from my super - automatic expresso machine. Interesting enough, today, I tired iced coffee at Mac. It is actually better than the ones at Starbucks!

Yeah, I like Mickey D's coffee better than Starbuck's too. But their pastries are divine at Starbuck's.

And, I think as was discussed on another thread, I was desperate for coffee and drove down to the local Circle K Mart and all they had was dark Maxwell House and I was amazed at how good it actually was. The organic Papua New Guinea whole bean coffee from the health food store is excellent too.

Barney's Cinnamin Butter Coffee is really good for flavored Coffee, do you guys have Barney's. A lot of them were shut down, but not the one at the Merritt Island Mall.

CalGal,

I grew up in OC my entire life, but during the college years had many friends go off to school in the Boston area. The one common craving they all had when they came home for the various breaks was their desire to sip on a DD coffee and soak their Boston Cream in the coffee before consumption. Several years later as I was taking my solo trip through the Northwest corridor, I fell in love. 8 days of non-stop breakfast compliments of the DD that stood on every street corner it seemed. Gawd damn they were good. Every time I've visited the East Coast since, I get off my red eye flight, find my first DD on sight (typically within the airport), and do what I must to satisfy my craving.

I tried out McD coffee this morning. You're right. They are damn good, but I still think DD stands tall above the rest.
