It's a headscratcher for the Soylent family, watching the "Cavalia" show grounds being built next to the 405 right now. I get that it's freeway close, but is there really that much demand for a show of this kind? Whose idea was to put this on a sloped lot? Wasn't this better suited for the GP, or OC Fairgrounds?

This had to make sense to someone at the City as well as the shows producers to lay out the kind of cash they're doing so at present. What are your thoughts?

That's the one. They started working on the Tent in earnest last week. I'm sure the rain is going to impact it's progress. They must also intend on paving over some of that field for parking, unless they are going to bus people in from another parking site.

I don't remember them paving that area for the Laguna Altura grand opening. Maybe they'll just lay out gravel... pumpkin patch/christmas tree style.

Ridiculous eyesore, but then again it's across the freeway from the mural. IMO, those shows belong in venues or zoned parking lots; not open fields.

They were here back in 2007. Near the Verizon amphitheater I think. Apparently it was successful so they're back with their newest show.

I think previously this show was at Spectrum near the back of the parking lot past Target (where the Bake Pkwy exit ramp is).  This has since been turned into a parking lot but they must have made a lot of $ during that outing.  I remember a lot of people at my work went and enjoyed it.
