The new models are becoming more and more round. The infiniti seems to have the best value, but not crazy about the body design. I actually like the new MDX design better than the X5? Anybody here can comment on the X5'? Love the car or just OK? So what is about Asians liking Acuras so much? I still haven't figured it out. Interior is all inclusive and very nice.</blockquote>
Haven't driven the MDX or the Infiniti, but the X5 is a beast of a machine. WARNING: Bimmer bias ahead. You just need to drive it. What I know of the Infiniti and Nissan, is they have gone the cheaper route. They have cut corners, and the little things will annoy you like the steering wheel will never align, no matter how awesome the alignment guy is. I like Acuras and I have driven many, and the MDX sounds interesting, but I want you to put it to the same test as the X5. Drive down Jamboree, in an off traffic time near the district, at 90 MPH, let go of the steering wheel, and break like you see a Panda crossing the road. You won't have to grab the steering wheel, it will stop straighter than any pro driver can in a "normal" car. Okay, well most at least. I dare you to suggest that to the sales schlep at Acura, and I double dare you to actually do it. Then... please take a picture of the purple Twinkie he shat, or the rolled over car. Either way, one will happen, and maybe both.
Just make sure if the check engine light comes on in the X5 you pull over and shut it down. Otherwise you will be pushing it, and like the housing bubble popping, you will be hurt with more of cost by ignoring the obvious signs than realizing the reality that is clearly there.
