Space gray metallic exterior, and Dakota leather FTW! I have the Dakota leather now, and it does not look like it is 10+ years old. Hardly any wear at all. Mmmm... and with Ben's rate cut today, that makes the 3 series only $20 more a month than the 1 series yesterday...

I must admit, I have a strong proclivity towards BMW's Graph, I also like this little thing, it's VW's R32, V6 with 250hp. They are only going to make a limited # of them and they're not cheap at $32k.

Small, fast Hatches have been very popular for years in Europe but I can foresee them gaining popularity in the US as Fuel prices escalate.

For half the price of the above, the 08 Scion xD looks pretty good IMHO, 1.8 Liter and, well, that's about it.....

But I think my fave "Liddle" Car is the Scion xB, I'm not just saying that because I bought one, I bought one because it's my fave Liddle Car....2.4 L (Camry and Scion tC engine) and tons of room, it'll carry two Bikes....it's an iPod kinda Car.

So that's it for my Liddle Car post for this week Folks ;-)

He he, my little focus goes under the knife soon. Its going to get a 2.3L strokered motor as well as a small turbo kit. I'm not shooting for much, maybe 300whp or about 330-350engine hp. Which would be too bad for a 2600 lb car. We will see.

I have a Ford Fusion, which I was very happy with untill I got a leak in one of the problems. Not with the leak, stuff happens, but the Firestone dealer kept asking me and encouraging me to fix it. But, it doesn't have that much mileage left on it, I say, why not just replace it?

Well, he says, repair is $28.00, and a new tire is $230.00. WHAT? I say??? He sez, yeah, it has special 17 1/2 inch wheels instead of the standard size. Needless to say, I was not so informed when I bought it, and being a car moron, and totally indifferent to cars, car status, and other things discussed by the people on this thread, which I have read very little of, I would have never thought to ask about tire size.

Guys sez I'd have to buy new wheels to fit the tires on. I have not yet blasted the dealership. Which would probably not be effective anyway. They were hurting months ago, goddess only knows what it's like now.

Anybody have any thoughts.

You should replace the tires as a set. At the very least do both tires on the same axle. I prefer to go to Costco because they do lifetime free rotations and flat fixes. You can price the tires at costco.com. They no longer sell tires for a couple of my cars, in which case I go to tirerack.com, enter my info, buy the tires I need, and then ship them to a local installer recommended by customers on their site. The installation costs extra and is a separate transaction. If you don't know the exact tire size, look at the tires you have now and look for the size on the side of the tire. It should be a set of large numbers, such as 195/65 R17.5.

LIz,

There are a series of numbers on the sidewall of your car 235/45/17 or something like that.

Post them up would you please. I buy race rubber in 17" sizes for less than $230 a tire.

If you have milage on the car, like between 20-30k on your set of tires, it should be almost time to replace it. Anyways the front wear faster than the rear. You can get decent 17" tires for relatively low cost nowadays, good luck

Right on LM! Great car. I've got an 07, and have been lusting after the 08 since it came out.

Enjoy your new ride.

Trooper, did you read the part in the article where they said....

Rinderknecht said it cost more than $1.5 million to make the sole sQuba in existence, and that it was difficult to make a car watertight and pressure-resistant enough to be maneuverable underwater.

Plus, at 3 mph it would take over 7 Hours to Drive/Float to Catalina.

Volvo's cute new little sports car.

my wife and I just bought a 2008 Honda- We love it! Although, we did spend a tad bit more than lending maestro. Still a great car to own.

I just bought a Honda Fit. My first Honda. I "get" Honda Love now. I understand why people go 15 years owning nothing but hondas.

This looks like my next car.

http://www.ultimatecarpage.com/car/2097/Pininfarina-Nido.html

I just bought an Infiniti G35 to replace my old Subaru. It gets horrible gas milage and requires premium gas. I only drive 3k to 4k miles a year though so who cares about fuel efficiency. 306HP RWD is worth the poor mileage. Unlike my subaru it can actually fit 2 child seats in the back so now I get to be the family chauffeur.

The 335 that Graphrix posted was a contender but I just couldn't do it. It is the better drivers car but every other car here is a 3 series. I think that it is the official car of Irvine. Besides, the gadgets in the Infiniti were much more appealing to a geek like me. Ripping CDs to the hard drive in your car is beyond cool.

Effin,

You need to meet up with my pal Oscar Jackson (Jackson Racing Superchargers) for some slight mods to your car. While I LOVE the fit, its just a wee bit under powered for me. If it had a decent 2.0L it would probably be better, but you woulden't get the great gas milage though.
