Mr. SoCal ordered some LED lights online. They arrived from China with this pendant, a red/jade bracelet, and a note asking for him to write a positive public review. He wants to know what it says. We tried to match the characters to a Google image search but it didn't work. I am pretty sure somebody here will know so I took a pic. Let me know if I have it backwards. It is reversible with the same thing on the other side but mirror image.

Ooooohhhh. I see! Thanks! I didn't know the whole thing (the two people) meant something. I thought it was just the writing on the "girl's" abdomen. Cute.

The word means... good luck selling that sofa... Yeah.. just that one word said all that!

Oh, look! The other side says, "Homer is the funniest, sweetest person on Talk Irvine."  :)

actually... if u hang something upside down it just means that character is "here"... so if u hang the character for fortune upside down it just means "fortune is here"

I don't know if poor ppl or gambling addicts do this more or less then regular folks or rich ppl... hmmm... actually, you know what... I think the reverse is true... cause the rich that I know all tend to be more superstitious then the regular middle class... lol... i always thought this to be kinda wierd

side note... my definition of rich is a little skewed... I define rich by having net asset of 10m or above (not including value of primary residence)... anything below is still middle upper class...

no idea why gambling addicts or casinos would do this... perhaps to attract the rich to come play? lol...
