Calling IHB artists to design an IHB T-shirt

<p><em>"IrvineRenter</em></p>

<p><em> I want one."</em></p>

<p>Higher praise I could not want. Thank you.</p>

<p>Thanks, but other than historical interest, I doubt the people coming to IHB care much about logo ideas that were discarded. If they really want to see them, I can make a special CD filled with the junk.</p>

<p><strong><em>"And for an extra $9.95 you can get our bonus DVD, filled with previously unreleased production images used to create t-shirts that were never made! Buy yours today!"</em></strong> </p>

<p>Pfft.</p>

<p>And for the ladies:</p>

<p><a target="_blank" href="http://home.comcast.net/~nudedj/shirt2.png"></a></p>

<p>The rest....is up to zovall.</p>

I like the design very much. Thank you nude for clipping the ends because the sharpness (blade) is bad feng shui for those who wear it. The blunt reflect the realistic fascia board at the eave line. The fascia board is also there to prevent the exposed rafters from twisting and also provides a flat area to mount the gutter. Hey, I just want the world to know IHB knows roof framing as well as all the other financial stuff.

Excuse me, could someone explain to me what exactly "Schadenfreude" means here?

My understanding is that it means 'laughing at others' misfortune.'

Uh?? I am not sure people in this blog would really "laugh at other people's misfortune" though......

Mendelssohn - that is exactly what we are doing. We are watching the people who are adults and signed up for mortgages beyond their financial abilities to repay out of greed and stupidity, and who laughed at us for years for not getting on board (or in my case, for selling my house and pocketing the profit and becoming a renter again), finally get their due. I believe that IrvineRenter has stated our case the most eloquently, in a number of his main blog posts.

<p>Mendelssohn,</p>

<p>It stems from this post: <a href="http://www.irvinehousingblog.com/2007/06/11/the-reservoir-of-schadenfreude/">The Reservoir of Schadenfreude</a> by IrvineRenter and a combination of suggestions made in this thread (hat tip Priced_out_IT-guy and an anonymous poster)</p>

<p>While it's slightly an inside joke, the design works well for an IHB shirt.</p>

Thank you for explaining that. I am not an American. Though I read this blog as often as I can, sometimes I don't quite get the joke/sarcasm because of the language barrier.

I am just being careful. I like to know exactly what it means before I order the shirt and wear it in the public.

The other thing I like about the Schadenfreude reference is that you almost never hear the word outside of the context of the housing bubble.
