Oh this description is SO far from me it's not even funny - but it reminds me of a lot of my neighbors around here though  ;D
Good thing my hubby is a Marine with a gun that works from home - no knock knock burglars will be coming around our home

How long did they wait for him to come out?  If it was even 5 minutes, its usually fast enough for a cop to show up.  Personally I would have held the door from the outside trapping him in there.
