Has anyone been successful in negotiating the terms of BMWs standard lease offers?
My wife is thinking of getting an X3 or X5 lease since she drives 8-10K miles per year. So for example right now BMW is offering on the X3 $529/month with $2,750 down. The MSRP is $43,345, you can buy it after 36 months for $25,140, so during the 36 months you pay down $15,545 ($18,205-$2,750 down payment). The interest rate to pay down $15,545 at $529/month is about 14%/year, which is insanely high. If you negotiate the interest down to say 7%, the payment comes down about $50/month. The imputed rate on the 3 series is a whopping 17% in their standard lease offer.
Has anyone been able to negotiate down the interest rate charged on your BMW lease? If so, what was the rate they were asking and what did you get it down to?
Thanks in advance.
