We are installing the blinds which are ordered online. We measured the window frame carefully to decide a proper screw size for the mounting bracket and were shocked on how thin the wall actually is around the window.
The total depth from inside drywall to the outside stucco right around the window is about 3 3/4 in. Drywall is 1/2 in, stucco is about 3/4" in and I believe the window has a indented lip from outside, not sure about the indented depth though.
So maybe a 2" screw should be a safe bet to have a good grab and not too long to penetrate the paper ?
Anyone has shutter installed ? I am wondering what screw size they use ?
