1. "They are both excellent. Yay Irvine schools!"

2.  "OMG, Northwood is the best. It's the hotter, sexier, newer school and it beat Uni in the latest rankings. Boo ya!"

3.  "Whatever, both of you. You're just jealous because you can't afford a house in Turtle Rock. I bought mine for all cash too! Uni is the best!"

4. "I don't care about Northwood or Uni. What I really need to know is, should I get the California room or not? Please help me. I'm #239273490237 on the priority waiting list for Montsonomelito."

5. "Whatever to ALL of you. The fact that you even asked this question makes it totally obvious that you are an Irvine Unified snob. What about Tustin schools? Have you ever even considered those? Oh, wait, I know...your child will be a complete failure in life if he/she attends any school other than an Irvine Unified school. He/she will not be able to read, write, or understand simple math problems. Sigh. I'm leaving this board forever. Well, maybe I'll be back. And screw Irvine, I'm moving to Northridge."

6. "You are all young and foolish. Don't follow the crowd. You should buy a small, affordable property in another city so your child can attend Troy or Oxford Academy. Those are the truly terrific schools. Don't make the same mistakes I did and fall for the Irvine mythology like I did in my youth. I have lots of other secrets too, but I'm not going to share them with you so I can make sure to stay richer than you."

Why don't the strangers on the internet like me? And have I mentioned my house remodel took nine months?"

Man... Number 6 sounds so familiar.

ALL of the high schools in Irvine made the most recent Top High Schools list for the US... so you would be safe with any of them (and even some in the TUSD... heh).

I honestly can't believe ppl care about a couple of points one way or the other in the API.  Do ppl want bragging rights to the high school your kid goes to?!  If you are one of those parents, you need therapy.
 
I agree with IHS.  Marketing ploy.  Whatever can suck more money out of Irvine buyers pockets will be implemented.
