They can have their fermented berries.

Schwarzbier, or "black beer," is a German dark lager beer with an opaque, black color and a full, chocolatey or coffee flavor... They get their dark color from the use of particularly dark malts in brewing. The malt in turn gets its color during the roasting procedure.

Mmmm. Roasted beer.

Nice nutty flavor, a little alcohol breakthough but not too bad. The hops are under control (not a big fan of highly hopped brews). Noticable caramel aroma with a hint of toffee.

This would work well with flavorful cuts of meat (Ribeye, mayhaps).

This is often found in a mixpack with Sam Adams Honey Porter, Boston Ale (much better than their mass-market Boston Lager), their hefeweizen, and a couple of other interesting brews.
