Bamboo Shades for Conservatory

Curious if anyone did bamboo shades for their conservatory room, we have 12' foot ceilings.

We have casings so wondering if we do inside to show it off or outside mount. I notice a lot of models mount all the way up to the ceiling so it makes the room look big.

How about operating? I see different options: continuous loop, cordlesss, retractable cords, standard two string. Any thoughts on what's most durable?

Also weight since bamboo is pretty heavy, do they need to drill into studs and if there's no studs what do they do?

Bamboo, yuck.  Get roller shades with cassette inside mount looks good with casing.  You can get the kind that is cordless just pull to go up or down.
