when i took the dogs out for a potty break at 6 this morning i could smell the burnt ashes or just the smell of something burning.

Socal - this is right north of your hood, if i could smell it in tustin, i can only imagine what the smell was like in your part of town - how bad was it?

Yeah, pretty strong smell Sunday because we got a double whammy. The canyon fire plus a southern wind blowing the Camp Pendleton smoke our way. We shoved a towel under our front door to help make it bearable for me last night.

we are in woodbury and it took us a while to realize it was coming from outside.  kept opening windows and kept smelling more smoke.

A wind shift at around 7:00 last night pushed a terrific amount of smoke from the Baker / Santiago fire into our neighborhood. It faded by the morning.
