Gist of the message: "Armed, white, heavily tattooed suspect last seen at 88 Hayes in Irvine, CA. Lock windows & doors if you're in vicinity"

Sounds almost like a telemarketer's message that you want to delete without listening..

I got it too. I could barely understand it. Sounded "computerized." I tried to go to the Irvine PD website, no luck. Everyone is probably thinking the same thing and it crashed.

LOL! I was wondering about the same.. Kohls?!

This was just probably a misunderstanding. The suspect took Viagra about 4 hours ago what appeared to a weapon was just a visual mistake. There is no such thing as robbery in Irvine.

John Hare recovered the earrings valued at $3.99 but if you shop before 6am the price is $1.99.

I wonder sometime if this was a heroic publicity stunt knowing that the suspect was well surrounded and no chance of escape then dispatch the 911 calls to all of Irvine and including locations way on the other side of town 5 miles away and the 714 ghetto side included. Now that everyone knows about it and John Hare is a hero for catching the $3.99 thief.

There are other cases where he kept his mouth shut and never hear from him again. I found the inconsistencies completely suspicious.

Hahaha lol!

I just got a call saying he's been arrested and everything is safe now. I guess I can go unlock all my doors and windows now.

My wife was in Kohls just after this incident. She came back home and was asking me why there were so many IPD around the store and area. About 10 minutes later we get the robo call from IPD.

Glad they caught the suspect.
That center has its share of crime more than other retail centers in Irvine. I wonder if the easy freeway access is the reason,
I swear I can remember a couple of years ago some crackpot named BKShpr predicting criminal activity along the Jeffrey Open Space trail bordering Woodbury, because of the easy freeway access. Whatever happened to that guy?

That Wells Fargo is an ideal candidate for robbery. The freeway getaway is quick and spread out to the 241n. 241s, 133s, 5 n, 5s and 405 north. From my analysis IPD will have a really hard time to trap the robber once he is on the freeway.

In the criminals mind it is ideal to disappear and blend into busy traffic. Locations do matter. Some are more vulnerable than others due to the lack of defensible spaces. Jeffrey to me has always been too exposed.

I believe a lot of people get away with bank robberies. And the banks never say how much money is stolen. I've always wondered what the robber got in the robbery.
