Anyone experience having their packages stolen in Irvine?

So one of my buyers had bought some stuff from amazon and delivered to his condo in Woodbury.  He got an email confirmation from UPS that they delivered it and left it in front of his door.  He got home and the package was no where to be found.  Good thing that Amazon re-sent him the items free of charge (he sent it to my apartment complex to ensure that he'd get it).  Anyone else experience their packages getting stolen in Irvine after they were delivered via UPS or FedEx?

Not UPS or FedEx, but one of the checks sent to us was stolen, and even with my husband's name on it, someone was able to cash it. At this point we are not even sure if it was stolen from the origin point or here. Would be interesting to know, considering it originated from Cupertino, another safe city. Just dealing with that..otherwise the packages are fine. I have seen that the UPS guy hides them in the bush near the door if I am not home. Didn't know about the thefts..

On a different note: I am surprised that we didn't have a reverse 911 call and lock down until that UPS package was traced :-)

Let me know what they are. I will check my garage. Victimless crimes does not hurt anybody. The retailers take the loss covered by insurance. Consumers get their replacement. No harm no foul.

Those packages all over the motorcourts are really easy for me to make a clean sweep. I park my van in the motorcourt and the front doors are all out of sight. I take my time with the loots. I don't even need to walk up to the house.

Was it an IRS check addressed to some guy named Bren?

What I've seen, by multiple UPS guys in different locations, is that they would place the items under the front door mat.  We're not talking thin items either.  I would come home to find literally a dozen boxes stacked 2-3 feet high with the door mat placed on top of the pile.  Don't know if they're trained to do that but, if so, seems something got lost in translation.

One of the few perks of living in Ave 1 was the lobby signing for packages.  They recently stopped because some stupid resident complained that his package was stolen from the office where they are held.  It can happen but now everyones packages are left in front of their doors where anyone can take them.  We get our newspaper taken if we dont get to it by 10am...I dont think i will risk having anything sent here.

I have everything delivered to my work... I don't trust Irvine.  :-[
You are lucky because many companies have a policy against employees sending their personal packages to work and overwhelming the mailroom.

Get a PO box at UPS store.  UPS and Fed Ex will deliver, and the store staff with sign for you and hold it for your pickup.

I use my UPS Store address for most mailings and when I need to give out a mailing address.  If someone steals my car and set the GPS for "home" to rob me, it'd direct them to the local UPS store.  ;p

I should set my "home" to Theo Lacy or the farm then... luckily my old no update GPS doesn't have my semi new house...I just had it set for the street across from me..
