Besides, I've got Nordic blood running through my veins. I wore short sleeves yesterday.

Having, oddly enough, lived in both places at one time or another in my life, please allow me to relate my experiences:skek said:Well I am a little nutty, but I could trade my 1400 sq ft tract home for this gem on 2.5 acres outside of Colorado Springs and take some cash out of the deal in the process.skek said:Perhaps the Oregon coast or the mountains in Colorado. Colorado Springs, CO:
Wow, that mountain is gorgeous!
Look at all the pretty snow falling.
Hey, look everyone, it snowed a foot in the last hour. I'm sure glad I bought that snow shovel!
Hey, look everyone, the snow is almost up to the windows. Looks like a rough morning for me!
Holy F&*%ing Cow!! 6 feet of snow in one night, are you kidding me? I can't even open the garage door!
Newport, OR:
Wow, such pretty lighthouses and pine forests.
Wow, that water sure is chilly in July.
What do all these signs about logs in the surf mean?
Tsunami evacuation zone, you mean like Indonesia-style tsunami?
Wow, it's been raining for 3 straigh months.
60 mile-per-hour winds with 80 mph gusts during a "moderate" winter storm, with a foot of snow and ice, and surf filled with frozen logs? Don't they call those hurricanes?
Troop, we are finally are in Mass. We forgot how nice people are out here. We just moved in to our new rental and we've already had two neighbors come over with food. One neighbor brought a basket of brownies and cookies and another neighbor brought home-made chicken soup (yum, yum). We were greeted with one of the neighbors shoveling our steps! We opened the door and he said that he thought he should help us shovel since he thought we wouldn't have any shovels yet. My husband went out to work with him, and then they both came in and watched sports on TV. It's like they knew each other for years. Now I'll add my take on Connecticut.
Wow ! Look at the beautiful wide open spaces....and trees !
I mean, you could walk for days and not see another person !
Are those stone walls ? Was that house really built in 1670?
That's the first graffiti I've seen all year !
Wow, the people are so nice and friendly here !
Pot Luck supper ? Sure !
Need help shoveling that driveway? No problem, be right over.
Yale ? It's that way.
