I'm gonna BBQ the biggest Turkey stuffed with British Paxo Sage & Onion Stuffing I can fit in there, probably 18-20 Lbs?

Plus I'm gonna make a British style Dinner:

Roast Potatoes

Mash "

Peas

Brussel Sprouts

Yorkshire Pudding

Etc etc....

My Wife is gonna make eggnog Pie.

We have all kinds of Beer wine etc etc..(sorry no Bud or Miller etc)

We're gonna have a great Day, I'm gonna start it off with a Bike Ride!!

The problem is, I'm on a perpetual Diet, I live on Lean Quisines all week, my wife, and those who have met Her will confirm, is a 4' 11" small Person who eats very little soooo...but I'm Cooking all this stuff for a reason...

If you're Single and all your Friends are attached and have other plans, your Family is too far away for you to join them or you're unemployed and going through hard times or generally feeling down and just can't find the energy to Cook or tear yourself away from the depressing news on CNN, PM me and come and help us eat and drink all this stuff!!

You don't even have to be single, bring your SO!!

Just PM me OK?

We're all in this together right?

Thanks..by lean quisine I meant healthy choice, which are much better IMO....but I do also eat LQ so thanx for the link!

It just the two of us and my wife is working all week/weekend. So i'm pretty much batching it for most of the day... :(

Maybe i'll work on the cars of go looking for more property. We will see.

If you decide to make Spotted Dick, don't tell anyone what it is.

Spotted Dick is brilliant, with Birds Custard of course..

The best laugh we had about this is when a group of us, including prof, went on a Cycling epic..um fiasco... in Vegas at the Red Rock, somehow we got onto the subject with our Host, it was a standing joke, so, as promised, we mailed some to Him, He went around asking all the Girls at the resort if they'd like to try some of His spotted Dick and produced the Can..

He didn't like it :smirk: The Guy is really nice but has no taste..

The Old Ship in Fullerton and Santa Ana have it on their menu if anyone wants to try it, they have awesome Brit Food there by the way if you're into that kinda thing.

But that's a good idea, I will add SD to the Menu for Thanksgiving.

On of the first sites to link to us back in the day was Cryptogon. They moved to New Zealand and live a very different life now (nothing like Irvine lol). They have a blog that details their farm life and one of their posts covers their experience making Black Pudding:

Personally I always stay away from Spotted Dick.

But your story reminds me of one a former boss used to tell. Someone I used to work for played the piano and other keyed instrument. He even had an organ that he kept in his basement. Before he got married, he used to like to go around to women he met in bars and ask them if they'd like to see a picture of his organ.

You forgot "if you just can't stand your own family"

Troop,

I somewhat know the feeling. My wife is working that day also. From 6:30 to 3:30, hopefully when she comes home i'll have all the dinner ready to go.

No bit turkey, just some nice game hens, 2 baked and 2 fried.

Take it easy
