Any good... REALLY good accountants out there?

<p>Was wondering, in the plethera of all of these investment minded people, if anyone has a great accountant. I have heard of accountants that really know IRS law and really work to keep as much of the clients money as possible. I am looking for someone who really has a good handle on this and who can lower my taxes for myself and my business.</p>

Personally I prefer Enrolled Agents to CPAs for tax related issues.

Iceeman - Click on calgals link to Enrolled Agents. In my opinion, Enrolled Agents are generally better regarding tax issues and usually less expensive. Enrolled Agents are licensed by the IRS and specialize in tax code and IRS procedures as opposed to CPAs who are trained in accounting. Do you need accounting or tax return prepartation?

I am a CPA, like awgee said, go with an enrolled agent for the reasons he mentioned if you need tax return assistance.
