Air Traffic around Columbus Square

I'm about a mile from CG and I hear the train very loud at night. Sometime I hear airplane noise but I'm not on direct path. I think the biggest problem for CG is that the air is not very clean and the smell is not very pleasant. If you can deal with those or if your future buyers want to deal with those problems then it's ok to buy.
 
I have no problem with the air. I can't hear the planes and they fly pretty close overhead to where I'm at in Columbus Square.

Sometimes I do hear the train horn around 1030pm, but it's never been a huge issue. The biggest problem is the crappy T-mobile reception out here, and I hear its the same for verizon customers.
 
I'm not sure what you mean by "the air is not very clean". Do you mean some of the lots on the Irvine side of CG that back to the waste facility? The tustin side of CG is much more attractive IMO, and shares the same soil, air, and train noise with Westpark. If you're talking about CS, then the train would be louder, yes. As for the air, I don't see what the issue would be there either.

Verizon reception sucks in CG, that's affirmative.

I can't breath when I'm near CG area. I'm particular careful because I have a relative who died of lung cancer and never did smoke. It's hard to tell the air is not clean if you have not live outside of OC, ie you don't know the difference. FYI, I have lived in the NorthEast and the Bay Area and I can tell you the air is not clean, not to my nose at least. I can't take a deep breath near this area. The small particles or dust near the cement area are what you are breathing in, but it's very hard to tell. I think CG is less than a mile away from the cement and waste management area. Plus the Jamboree freeway is nearby.

However, I don't worry about the toxic land because I believe there were people living there before. Also if there are problems with the land there would have been lawsuit like the one mentioned from "Camp Dejeune".

Less than a mile? It's right next to it! CS is a much better location.

I actually measured it so I know the exact number, 0.6 mile from Ciara model homes.

It's 600 yards according to Virtual Earth. And Ciara is one of the farther communities in CG.
