Man... am I slacking.. off...! had an early X-mas three day weekend... I think the trick is to take vaca days when people are working and so when they go on vaca; you automatically get half-days, since no-one is around to police the office...
pretty slick what some people here at the office is doing with Bluetooth, streaming video and such... trying not to say too much about what I do, but; the technology is almost here to integrate Android tablets more into the medical/dental office...
You walk into to get a check up; the doctor hands you a Android Tab, you can check email, watch a movie while waiting; then have your charts and previous exam pictures pull up on the tab; the doctor can make notes on the picture & then U can email it to you spouse, to go over treatment options...
I was suggesting that the Patient instead of using the office Tab, how about linking their own smartphone to the practice BT.. won't that be cool...!
Anyways... it's always fun to duck into the R&D back-office and play with the toys... hey... just make em' & I'll sell em'

I read that some lucky people got a Galaxy Nexus early.
On the tablet front:
- Samsung will be showing a Retina Display tablet at CES
- Apple rumored to come out with the iPad 3 with Retina Display in Feb, March or April (trying to beat Sammy to market)
- Transformer Prime delayed?
- As rc posted, the Xyboard is actually Motorola's Xoom 2. Supposed to come in 10" and 8"(7"?) models
- Toshiba 7" Thrive released yesterday at $379 (still too high in my opinion... should be $299)
And rc will not like this, but Blackberry and Android phone owners would prefer an iPad over any of the other tablets:

Thanks again to everyone for indulging in my Android obsession... now I know a little of how IR feels in coming up with content on a daily basis...
Wanted to ask you guys, going forward; how you want to maintain our little community of Irvine Tech Heads... I can certainly keep up with the daily Android digest, but I really don't want to create a separate Android thread...
I really love reading all things Apple, and going forward in 2012, I would love a thread where more people can contribute to anything mobile, tech and gadgets -or- you guys feel that that might be too general?
or how about just an iOS & Android thread? or just TI-Mobile or TI Geek Heads...?
I know we are a small but tight community... and frankly I like to keep it that way, and I don't mind continuing to share rather personal stuff about RC & company... & how we all use Tech to improve our lives...!

That's not a bad idea... but I like a Tech - Home Thread for the daily tech digest - I would love to start a separate ICS thread (when I get my hands on the GN) to go into more detail about my experience, & linking it to the home thread... BUT... I'm not sure I have time...
Generally the daily main thread covers everything... I assume most people knows what I'm talking about without going into detail.. How To's and an extensive FAQs but... I can always do that if anyone wants me to...
Again... it always comes to time constraints...

No comments about Motorola winning it's lawsuit against Apple in Germany? It seems Apple has lost two big lawsuits recently, but we'll see if they're upheld. I really hate all of these ridiculous patent lawsuits. It's unfortunate that a lot of these were deemed patents when they shouldn't have been. They just hamper innovation.

the walls need to be repainted, and the carpet needs to be replaced, from 10,000+ people walking -in & out- on a daily basis, oh.. and it smells a bit from the robots... but, it is as I found it...
