They used to do this on the old IHB forums so I thought since I never got a chance to do it there... I would do it here:
1. I joined the IHB forum over 2.5 years ago because I was looking at the defunct Prado models in Portola Springs.
2. I was labeled an elitist because of my first posts inquiring about what people were looking for in their home purchases... great initiation.
3. We sold the home we bought 3 years prior later that year because of various reasons, one of them was the fear that prices in Irvine were going to take a 40% drop and interest rates would rise and we didn't want to get caught underwater... unfortunately... for that particular home segment... that has not happened... yet.
4. I miss the people from the IHB who are no longer here at TalkIrvine. Some are over at OCReader but are not as active anymore.
5. The New Home Collection sales pace has surprised me... making me wonder if Irvine's price stubbornness is more fact than fiction.
6. I miss our big house and 3-car wide garage... but I don't miss the huge payments, the stress and the street noise from a major road.
7. I didn't think that picking an elementary school for my children would impact our location to live so much.
8. I would leave Irvine if my work moved down to South County... but not sure if my wife would even though she works in South County.
9. I used to not care about view lots... now I understand why my parents always bought homes on a hill.
10. I'm thankful for SoCal78, Mr.SoCal and all the members here at TalkIrvine to give me a place to rant about my 3CWG addiction.
