$2 million dollar home in Oak Creek

No crown molding, white tile in the bathrooms, cheesy landscaping, what looks like single-pane windows, - but there is a chandelier in the girls bedroom.

Paid $1,160,000 on 10/28/05, so guess this is the only home in Irvine that has appreciated almost 90% in the past 3.5 years! (My guess is Todd took it because it's in his area and he didn't want a competitors' sign in front of this home.)

but it was a lovely view

Please tell me that window is looking at their own house and not a neighbor's.

*Must resist urge to call Todd and laugh at him for even taking this listing and listing it at this price*

Maybe he's pricing it at the year 3009 price point. I'd love to see the look of the appraiser trying to make the comps work on this baby. haha

This house was on the Redfin for 2-3 months and chased down the market to (I think) 1.225 before being delisted. We saw it back then and initially liked it, but decided not to make an offer due to its location facing school and not having a real bed room downstairs (there is an open appendage to the family room that they counted as a bed room). The first picture is defintely not from this house. I can't get the google cache for the old Redfin listing, but this one is close:

It seems that somebody pressed one extra 9 instead of 1. Perhaps they meant 1,199,000, but in a purely Freudian slip, typed 1,999,000. Who knows...

It was a mistake. If you go on Todd's website, it's listed as 1,199,000. Still high in my opinion at $377 per sq. ft.

(Oops...corrected the price to 1, 199,000)

If this listing is not corrected over the weekend, I will profile it. I think they mistakenly added a "1" in front of the $999,000 asking price. If it were price at $999,000 it might find a knife catcher before it falls back below its 2002 purchase price.

I put the current market price at $975 to $1M based on CS equivalents so the listing has got to be a mistake...

It's been updated to $1.19M. Seriously overpriced.

how do you accidentally add a 1! what if I was a banker, and I just willy-nilly added 1 to everyone's accounts, what will that do? How about I just start adding random numbers to customer invoices; what other industry can professionals just mistakenly add numbers to prices...

Well, in New Zealand its ok for a banker to add 3 extra zeros

This comment is defamatory and the accusation is libellous, affecting Mr. Muradian's professional image. I request that the mods consider it for edit or removal as well as my response to it.

Oh, and welcome to the boards.

Maybe it's Deuce under another registration?!

That is a compliment of the highest order. Thank you.

Right on the redfin page:

Nice! If I were a neighbor I would not be happy about that.

SoCal,

I erased my post because it was in poor taste. I let the incredible frustrations of a bad transaction get the best of me, sorry. Would you be willing to erase yours too?
