Huh... MalibuRenter gave me a suggestion with his "more portable".



Cut it in half as if it was pre-fab and rail car the two pieces to New Orleans. Hell, most tract homes could be downsized by half anyways. You could make two homes out of it.



Call it a tax deduction or business loss or whatever, sell it to a government subsidized loan applicant in Katrina ravaged area. Countrywide looks (again) like they have the disadvantaged at hear. True supply and demand, we have it, they need it. CFC could get back in bed again with Uncle Sam legitimately, and the taxpayers might actually be okay with bailing CFC out if they did it.



Alternately, the homes could be turned into transition houses for the homeless or veterans of foreign wars.
