Greenbrier by MBK Homes in Yorba Linda

We had looked at the Greenbrier homes about a year ago and then every couple months since then. My primarily complaint was 1) Location and proximity to fire areas 2) School district, especially for high school and 3) Concern about no HOA resulting in a less than desireable area down the road...

    New Posting in Laguna Niguel

Can someone get me the scoop on this house, like how much it went back to the bank for? Seems priced reasonable for LN. Then again, we have bid on 3 foreclosures in the last 12 months, each over asking and have been outbit each time by full cash offers. Do we dare try to make an offer on yet...

Discovered a slab leak, would you still buy?

Laguna Niguel - What do you think of this house?

Remodels really double in price in this economy! Crazy.. This home is listed below comps but I think it will sell for more. My guess $745k. What do you think? My realtor friend said $760k.

Laguna Niguel - What do you think of this house?

We went by it this morning - Seemed like it needed paint, carpet and new appliances done prior to moving in. How much does it cost for paint for a 2700 sq foot home? New carpet for 1400 square feet? Appliances? $15k maybe?

Went to check ou this house today - REO. Don't really know the area but 5 minutes to the beach isn't bad..Thought I'd post and see what folks thought. Can anyone tell me what the bank took this house back at? http://www.redfin.com/CA/Laguna-Niguel/21-Trestles-92677/home/4904977

HELP - where can i find a spanish style home with a decent size lot in OC

LOVE that Windsor home..Is that in a good area? Is the pricing right for what it is? Just not familiar with North Tustin but fabulous house..Not your typical Peach/Orange tract home you get in OC.

    Nice North Tustin Home

Just saw this house on Redfin..Looks like a nice place, albeit price per square footage is high and no mention of address??! http://www.redfin.com/CA/Santa-Ana/Undisclosed-address-92705/home/4480024

Thoughts on Serrano Heights in Orange?

So our hunt for a house still continues..Exploring Serrano Heights in Orange now. Pretty much ruled out Yorba Linda as there isn't anything to do there in the way of night life and Ladera Ranch is still on our list albeit the power lines are an eye sore and every home has been way, way too close...

Help - What would you offer on this home???

So we passed on that house...But interestingly, the seller said home is in escrow for over 600k..Keep in mind they were asking $534,900. Thought that was interesting..Would love to find out what the crack is all about. The house was only built a few years back!

Help - What would you offer on this home???

I knew there was a reason for that house being underpriced but seriously, how can a house with that crack be sold??! A bank won't approve a loan on a house with that type of crack..Does that mean the bank that owns the house is liable/accountable for fixing it?? Crazy..

Help - What would you offer on this home???

I never posted a picture of the crack..I think another blogger also had a picture of the crack and posted it. It's a straight line across the entry way - Maybe 3 feet. We looked in the garage and the crack doesn't extend there BUT other side of the crack that extends outside, you can see a 1...

Help - What would you offer on this home???

We ruled out YL only because the travel time to the freeway and inland didn't save us considerable time than just living in South OC close to the 241 and sucking up the commute and the price of the toll. I am thinking foundation crack with the house I sent link for, as we saw it extended...

Help - What would you offer on this home???

Curious to hear thoughts on offer price for this 4 bedroom in Ladera Ranch. I looked at comps and they are considerably higher than asking. It's $214/square foot. Let me know what you think. It's an REO..Anyone have scoop on the specifics on what the bank took it back for? Thanks...

Help - Where to Move in OC to Get Closer to Work??

Husband says Pasadena is too far of a drive to San B and pockets of Pasadena aren't so great, especially with 2 kids under 5 years old..Private schools are 20k+/year.. 1) Ladera Ranch 2) Fullerton 3) Yorba Linda 4) San Clemente and suck it up with long commute ???

Help - Where to Move in OC to Get Closer to Work??

I couldnt agree more about the IE..Not exactly desireable area to live in, especially when we have 2 young kids. It works for some people, but I'd rather do a 70 mile commute daily than move to the IE. Quality of life (depending on how you measure it) just isn't there..

Help - Where to Move in OC to Get Closer to Work??

So my general take-away is that this forum likes San Clemente but it's tooo far south from work to consider moving there. Yorba Linda and Fullerton are the 'best' North OC options..Pasadena in LA (Love it but wayy too smoggy and too far away from the beach). What about Ladera...

Help - Where to Move in OC to Get Closer to Work??

Leaving at 530 a.m. and shooting straight up the 5 freeway to Burbank..Takes about 1 hour 15 minutes. Commute to San Bernardino..Straight up the 241 to the 91..Going against traffic.

Help - Where to Move in OC to Get Closer to Work??

I thought I'd reach out to folks on this board for some advice.. I work in Burbank 3x/week (work from home the other 2x/week) and my husband commutes daily to San Bernardino. We currently live in South OC. We are contemplating a move in the next year but debating about where to move..We...
