    Irvine OKs 6,000 homes in city's urban core

    http://www.ocregister.com/news/irvine-257657-city-business.html Call me skeptical, but I just don't see the "urban" thing working in Irvine.  The roads are too wide, blocks are too far apart, and most importantly, it's just not what those looking to live in Irvine want.
