Irvine Spectrum retail center seemed like a bust in the early days. Couldn't even keep the old food court leased and could park anywhere. Now there are multiple garages that are always full and apartments that keep on building. The unicorn is magical.

Like you said... its utility is to enable untraceable monetary exchange in the grey and even black areas of society. So it's very difficult to say that its value will disappear because unfortunately... criminality is a constant. It's like those coins in John Wick. :)
