    Places where parking is good?

I've definitely looked outside this Irvine area, most notably Costa Mesa and Fountain Valley.  Thing is, most of my friends who live in OC live in Irvine or south, and for that reason alone I don't mind paying a little bit extra.  Obviously these are not NYC/West LA/SF prices so I can deal with...

    Places where parking is good?

I'm looking to move in the next few months for a place by myself (finally)... what neighborhoods are there in Irvine/Tustin Ranch that have good parking and 1BR models? By good parking, I mean your friends don't have to circle the lot or park at the grocery store across the street after 5pm on...

    Stonegate East

Genius! (Both the post and TIC strategy)

    Central Park West

FYI: Visited the property today, a sales associate confirmed a $365 HOA + Master association fee.  Also zero room for negotiation.

    Central Park West

There will never be true "urban living" in Irvine.  And I'm not even referring to NYC / SF urban living (which frankly is a little TOO much urban)... I'm thinking more Old Town Pasadena, where you have a mile or so of options.  Irvine (and OC) is just not built for it. But anyway, I see that...

    Central Park West

Damn, $500...  :( My interest in this community keeps dropping.  With a little bit of Googling I was able to find the floors plans - they're pretty "strange".  The two that I was interested in all start on the 3rd floor - even though the garage is on the first.  That means 4 flights of stairs...

    Central Park West

Actually, I guess what I meant to ask was... has anyone else been there? Know of any new developments?

    Central Park West

[Did a search for this since I remember things on IHB, but nothing here] I've had an eye on Central Park West since they started construction a few years back.  Seems like some of the pricing has dropped - they're listing things "from the low $300s" now (which is what peaked my interest...

    Lazy Dog Cafe Opening

I went for drinks / snacks and it was completely mediocre. Their house beer is much too light, it reminded me of JT Schmidt's in the District. I don't think that place will be open much longer, we went 2 weekends after it opened on a Friday night and it was practically empty.

Marijuana legal in California in 2010???

There is a big movement to legalize marijuana. And I have to say that I would agree. From a logical and legal standpoint, no matter your moral values, there is just no reason for it to be illegal when tobacco and alcohol are legal. It's a giant contradiction. The argument that "it's...

Location ideas : High walkability and reasonable

Tustin, mostly areas closer to Tustin Ranch, you might be interested in. The older areas will have larger lots and more parking. I live in Tustin Ranch and I walk to the grocery store, restaurants, etc.

    Skyline Towers Santa Ana

Not surprised at all that those places are eating it now. C'mon, mid/high-rise in the middle of the epitome of suburban America, aka Orange County? Nice try. No one wants to park in a community garage, and carry groceries up 5 flights of stairs or the elevator, if you're forced to drive to...

    A 4.4 at 4:04. Who Felt It?

I felt it because I was only half asleep... sat up in my bed and thought "no way this is more than a 4-something" and went back to bed. Kind of like that scene in Independence Day.

    Prospect Village in Tustin

Thanks for the update. I guess I don't need to worry about heading down there any time soon. Oh well.

    Prospect Village in Tustin

Thanks for the post - very informative - actually with some of those sold prices it gives me a little more confidence. ;D I'll also keep in mind the folks from Swinging Door (I'm guessing Godfather's / Tustin Inn patrons may spill around too). I've been there before and even though it's not...

    Prospect Village in Tustin

First of all, glad someone pointed me in this sites direction after not having the IHB boards for a while. Anyway, has anyone heard any news about Prospect Village in Tustin? The original WTF pricing had them from 800K - 1.2M. Last I heard they dropped to 600K - 800K back in mid 2009. While...
