    Casero versus Primrose @ Portola

I actually just say both today.  I think Casero is better then Primrose.  There is more privacy on the side yards from the street since its elevated.

    The Loft....

The loft is what made the modified Carmel plan 2 the best plan (in the original phase, not the new pahse b/c that flex room is just in a bad place)

    Building a house of wood....

He thought the chicken-wire for the shower was very cheap.  he stated its usually only used for the outside of the home, but it is probably still up to code.

    Building a house of wood....

When I got a preview of carmel, they kepts talking up the plastic pipes - like its the newest and best thing out there. As for the construction in general, I agree that they are gettig cheap.  I walked thru my house with an independent contractor (going to upgrade floors after close).  He noted...

Montecito / Sonoma / Carmel Pricing

Looks like Sonoma is sold out now. As I drove by I saw the Carmel II open house.  Looks like the psuedo-models are along Mapleton with the backyard facing keystone.  There are lots all the way to rolling green - opposite sonoma.  Looks like they got some good lots.

The wall in the back is about 8 homes away up against keystone.  these "models" are set up on rode that enters into sonoma region.

    Closing Cost & Interest Rate

Just heard from a lender. A 60 day lock with zero points on a super-conforming mortgage is 4.375.  That's with the builders boa lender too.

Montecito / Sonoma / Carmel Pricing

Got an e-mail yesterday that showed the carmel II lots.  Instead of a model they drew out the floor plan on the actual lot and even used astroturf.  They have a "walk-thru" this weekend.

    Built-in refrigerator

I have heard about that its costly to repair built in frig.  I kind of like the idea of getting a counter depth and modifying the cabinets to make it look built in.  With this approach you can even that the frig with you if you move.  However, I'm still up in the air about this.

Montecito / Sonoma / Carmel Pricing

I think some Las Colinas might start in the 900's (at least based on the TIC website).  Though that probably means 989's

    Sonoma Bathrooms

that's exactly where it is (I'd insert a pic from my house but I can't figure out how to do it).  The pic i have of the model cuts off the ceiling so I can't tell if there is a beam (i don't remember there being one)

    Sonoma Bathrooms

Has anyone who moved into sonoma noticed any architectural differences between their bathroom and the corresponding model.  I'm moving into a Plan 1 and there seems to be a an extra beam above the shower area - not sure what to make of it.

Montecito / Sonoma / Carmel Pricing

And then there was one.  Only one Sonoma Plan 1 remains.  Its on Rolling Green  - from the last phase. Also, as I drove by today, right across the street from the sonoma homes on rolling green are 4 signs for carmel lots.  Two of the lots have "in escrow signs"  Didn't realize that carmel II...
