Did any of you kids go to Beckman after IUSD middle and elementary schools?

I don't want to do anything that's questionable or "bending it too much".  My main purpose was to hear from folks who went through both Irvine schools to Beckman. For proof of residency, yes you have to do that every year with 2 utility bills, ID, and form.  This also, however, is sort of silly...

Did any of you kids go to Beckman after IUSD middle and elementary schools?

Can anyone share their experience on this?  My kid may have to go to Beckman High in a year after spending 8 years in IUSD school because we may move within a few months.  He is not shy or introverted but sill won't have any of his friends in Beckman.  I am not 100% sure of this but also we...

    Short Sale

Can you offer lower than what the listing price is for short sale?  I heard that the price is set or acceptable by the bank so buyers may not have freedom to lower the price.  Maybe I'm misinformed. But short sales usually take long time and may have to accept as is?  thanks.

    talkIrvine Realestate board slowing down????

Cooling housing means less interested in housing in general and less things to post or ask.  Do you talk about hot issues or interesting stuff or boring cold non issue stuff???

    talkIrvine Realestate board slowing down????

I see less and less people posting in Real Estate board in general. Is TalkIrvine going down or just real estate portion because FCBs are going away, winter's coming, and possibly housing market is slowing down with the stock market and world economy???

Youth baseball leading to High School

My son is very good for his age group inbaseball.  He rarely strikes out and gets multiple hits, but I don't think he is a phenom.  Even if he were, have second thought about keeping him in a travel team. I want him to really have fun and enjoy playing baseball for a couple of years before high...

Youth baseball leading to High School

I would appreciate if any parents who had or are having kids in any high school baseball team in Irvine. My son is now playing in a travel team.  Previously he played in Irvine Pony for a few years.  He likes baseball and good at it.  He is one of top 3 in his team in my opinion and has a...

Anyone bought new homes in Irvine with less than 20% downpayment recently?

Yes, and I agree.  I was exchanging emails with a lender preferred loan agent, and that person mentioned programs for less than 20% down payment for new homes.  They won't offer such a thing if there were no customers.  Also not everyone who bought home (even during peak years) went bankrupt or...

Anyone bought new homes in Irvine with less than 20% downpayment recently?

No one is a fan of PMI, but did anyone bought a new home in Irvine recently with less than 20% down?  How did a lender treat you and what was your condition, PMI removal after 22% equity or for the life of the loan? Would you do it again or recommend not to?  Thanks.

Additional Cost and Options for New Home Purchase

Exactly how I felt even though I'm making pretty descent salary and living.  Maybe this is a sign that my goal/happiness of life should be something other than brand new house in Irvine (jk)

New homes sales in Irvine slowing down lately?

I visited several model homes this weekend and noticed that model homes were not crowded at all.  In two places, I was the only one while I was browsing. I also noticed that even though some popular plans were sold out in general, the price either stop going up or came back down to initial...

Additional Cost and Options for New Home Purchase

I went to see model homes of $750k ~ $820k price range and talked to a sales person for quite awhile.  The person informed me that a quick move in at around $800k house was available with $30k upgrades already added.  Also said that the average buyer of these homes spent $20k to $30k on...

Additional Cost and Options for New Home Purchase

My current rental is 3 bed and about 30 yr old house with driveway and small backyard.  I think similar house would fetch about $750k to $780 for purchase.  I feel like I sort of missed the boat since Saratoga (no drive way or back yard but still)  in SG plan was what we were looking for but...

Additional Cost and Options for New Home Purchase

Inc, I think you actually proved my point.  I'm sure folks buy smaller and cheaper new houses but yet many who votes might have bought $1 mil or higher homes.  It's not that because people buy expensive houses so they spend more on upgrades.  Irvine new home buyers tend to have more...

Additional Cost and Options for New Home Purchase

I see the view result button so I figured others could see.  So far 24 of 35 folks voted to spend more than $50,000.  Not too familiar with options for posting and voting...  Let me know if you know how I can fix it...

Additional Cost and Options for New Home Purchase

My purpose of this thread was to gauge what new Irvine home buyers were spending money on upgrades and how much they spend/budget the cost.  I never bought a new home and figured that new homes would result in more additional cost than resale homes for structural addition and landscaping are not...

Have you ever considered moving to another state?

I agree.  Also if I'm not mistaken, I think there may be more rich folks living in CA, especially along the coast (OC included) then any mid west or southern states.  One may have better chance to become really rich in so cal and live in a mansion than people living in a mansion size house in TX...
