Mortgage Q

http://www.calhfa.ca.gov/homebuyer/information/borrower-requirements.htm This is from the California Housing Finance Agency. It appears that to qualify for the program you must be a first-time homebuyer -- someone who hasn't owned and occupied your own home during the last three years.

    Mortgage Q

I think I read somewhere that in CA a first time homeowner is someone who hasn't owned a home in 3 years. I'll try to find a link.

    Jim Cramer's Big Article

There's been a lot of talk about Cramer lately. Today, there was an article saying steer clear of Cramer. Jim Cramer's bad bets http://www.cnbc.com/id/15840232?video=477902343&play=1

As foreclosures mount, DC debates answers

More bailout talk: http://www.cnbc.com/id/15840232?video=477902343&play=1 Why do we need to keep these people in their homes? I have no sympathy for them. Let them lose the houses and learn their...

    Bubble House

My brother also worked for Richard Meier in NYC and for Bolin Cywinski Jackson (BCJ). I agree with you that Gehry is a great sculptor. I like the Disney Concert Hall and some of his other buildings. The Experience Music Project was being built while my husband and I were in Seattle visiting...

    MOST IMPORTANT POST EVER

This was just posted by someone over on the HBB:
Major Disconnect in Subprime

Late last Friday I gave a call to Dave Donhoff at No Bull Mortgage and was wondering about subprime and Alt-A, and how they were affected by these treasury gyrations. Before I go further, let me...

Interesting Slate.com article on OC Housing

Congratulations on the mention! This is great blog that deserves the recognition and hopefully increased readership! It's not surprising that Lansner didn't include the mention of IHB on his blog. I agree with Irvine Renter about what has happened to Lansner's blog. I used to post...

I also thought the advice in the article was funny. Note that they didn't say that sellers should lower the price, just offer closing help and use the internet, lots of pictures, and virtual tours to advertise.
