Renters: Wimbledon Glen/Arnel Properties Robbery

(I wish I saw this post when you posted it, but...)

@KD_B: Do you have any pictures of what was stolen? Maybe a detailed description of valuable items? I know we all visit craigslist/ebay daily... search for the deals, etc.

You know damn well, your items are going to be...

IAC Renters. Check the prices before you renew your Lease.

@Rocker: I mentioned this in another thread, but yea, they max out the rental-living website to show only 5 units. Someone at a IAC place looked up a floorplan and they had more than 5 available, but the website only shows 5. She didn't even know they did this, but I assume it's done so you...

I'm tired of seeing IAC rentals on craigslist!

In all of March 17th listings in APTS/HOUSING, maybe 2 or 3 were actual privately owned listings. The rest were... you guessed it... corporate apartment spam/overposts with the bulk being the irvine company. Maybe everyone else was at the pub/bar.

Well, I haven't received any...

Anyone going to *invest* in real estate once the bottom comes around?

@jbatzmaru: Just curious... what kind of "stupid problems"? I wondered what tenants complained about.... as a tenant myself, I try to fix simple things on my own.

Duh! Good idea of posting the link. Hopefully more will do it just to get some organization to the category.

just make sure to choose: suggestion, and orange county for your location.

I'm tired of seeing IAC rentals on craigslist!

I've emailed them. I have nothing against seeing any of the IAC deals and whatnot... I do look through them from time to time, but a separated category would allow me to look through the privately owned places first. I hate having to sift through all the spam/reposts they do for the same...

I'm tired of seeing IAC rentals on craigslist!

Or we could all FLAG every IAC (or other spamming companies) post we come upon as SPAM. I'll start doing it, though it seems it would be a lost cause. I am not saying go one by one and flag it.. but just when you're randoming searching, click on an AD, find out it's a damn IAC place again...

I'm tired of seeing IAC rentals on craigslist!

Seriously, everytime I go on craigslist almost every AD on there is for an IAC complex. They post everyday and it's getting real annoying. Read on for my rant, scroll down for the solution.

- I am tired of them saying it's their last unit, when you search rental-living they have...

    What website?

Just curious what website you can go to to find how much someone paid for a specific place and how much they were able to put down. I know IR posts this in his blogs but where do go to find this info out. I know I can go to zillow and find how much a place was purchased for, but I would...

    Are they CRAZY?

Good news people... they reduced the price to only a low low of $2000 (lol). A 1 bedroom + loft condo... I wonder how long it will last. [ http://orangecounty.craigslist.org/apa/561910683.html ]

For 300 more... I...

Should I relocate to another IAC complex??

The $1395 / 1br - Wonderful Woodbridge Location location seems to have dropped rent to $1300 now (check the website).

how much would you pay rent in the...?

Orangetree Community. I browse craigslist frequently and see lots of ads for units around the area. While many don't like the area, I drove around it and found it nice for the time being... the lower rent costs would allow me to save more for a downpayment 2-3 years from now.
...

can I bring my agent when I deal with new homes?

@ monekoko: I was in the same situation. I was working with an agent looking at homes and decided to look at the new developments (w/o telling my agent... I didn't think I needed too). I thought it couldn't hurt to see them and also filled out one of those cards. When I contacted my agent...

IAC wants $5000 for 2 bedroom "custom apartment" at The Village

I saw that also and thought that is way too much. I guess you're paying for top appliances and that wrap around patio/deck. Still too much!

    Are they CRAZY?

I just found this on craigslist: http://orangecounty.craigslist.org/apa/548581992.html

1 bedroom + loft / 1 bath for $2200. Are they crazy? Modern style it says... but it only shows a sink and ugly furniture. It...

Where do you get your furniture?

For less effort for free furniture, just use craigslist.org and go the the FREE section. Check often and you'll get lucky with some good stuff. Most of the time it's people moving and can't move the furniture and it's too late to sell, so they give it away.

I check all the time...
