I have to agree with Aquabliss here.  No one can ever really know.  How many stories have we seen of homes all across the country being built on toxic dump sites, where people were forced to evacuate or voluntarily leave their homes, or lawsuits against the builders for false information, etc...

Wondering if anyone has any experience with doing some spot treatments for termites in the attic.  Does home need to be tented?  Approximate cost?  What solutions to use (orange oil, etc)  TIA

My wife and I were in escrow on a house in Northpark Square about 3 or 4 months ago.  We cancelled due to various reasons.  Looking back, I am glad we did because the inventory seems to be much greater now.  We are not in a hurry now since conditions appear better now than it was a few months...

So 2018 has a 23% increase in inventory compared to 2017.  What would also be telling is the trajectory of this increase.  I saw Steve Thomas' report on housing and it seems the acceleration is quite significant suggesting this may increase more in the following months.  Any thoughts? 

its not the foreign buyers who need to take classes on manners and etiquette.  I would argue for most foreign buyers, its a matter of not knowing the culture and customs.  The rudest and most inconsiderate people are the natives. 

I feel that detached homes have less of an issue with this.  Perhaps with attached homes, the heat dissipates slower when the garage is trapped between other garages. Maybe Mety didnt have issues because he/she lived in detached whereas you are in attached home?  not sure. 

How have you guys scheduled payments to contractors? How much upfront versus how much paid along the way?

I dont have a specific person to recommend, but I would hire a company that only does testing.  Many of the remediation companies will also do testing.  Get a separate person to test and then hire a separate company to remediate if needed.  Good luck.

As I mentioned, I have an inspector lined up this week.  I had no idea that standard procedure was to inspect prior to going into escrow.  I have always thought it was done after going into escrow, hence an inspection contingency.  Appreciate the referral aquabliss and other comments above...
