How low will it go and how long will it take? Predictions?

I wonder on a daily basis when this real estate market will finally bottom out. Me and my fiance' also have a wedding to plan and we can't do a wedding and a house purchase in the same year. Its either one or another. I was hoping to get into the market next year but it might still be too early...

    Getting a mortgage

Since its your 1st time to buy a house I would highly recommend setting aside 100K + for landscaping and furnitures unless you already have a budget for that. Citi Mortgage seems to have very good rates. But in your situation any lender will be more than happy to approve your loan with...

    Getting a mortgage

"Oh and the you shouldn't have to provide income documentation and have an extra fee for it either with that LTV." It's amazing what lots of down payment money and a very high FICO can do

    Getting a mortgage

Why would you even worry about a loan? With a 500k down cant you walk inside a bank and demand your own rate? You don't even need a Fico score to get approved with your LTV ratio like yours. given that what I typed was an over exaggeration of the truth. Isn't it true?

Negotiating with Builders - Cambridge at Columbus Square

If you are planning to buy residence 6 then you are probably not going to catch any breaks. Its layout is very good so a lot of people wait for them. I'm not too sure regarding the other units.

    Should I buy now...?

Mission accomplished. I talked to the sales office and from the way it looks i'm getting as much as 90% of my deposit back. I'm turning into a real estate bear now and hibernating for 1 year. I just renewed our lease for another year. Hopefully save more down payment or pay off our cars...

Good restaurants in the General Irvine Area

Okay I tried Wingnuts tonight. It was a full house and we came there at 9pm. I got worried that their wings were really spicy so I went with a 2 flame wing. That didnt even tickle my taste buds next time I go there I'm ordering the 4 flame variation. Keep the recommendations coming!

Will the proposed Federal bailout Dodd and Schumer hurt us who have waited?

Thanks Nick for your detailed input. As a first time home buyer that just moved in the OC I praying that the market becomes more affordable for me and my wife in the next few years. We have lots of cash to put down but not enough for a SFR. The current market change might change...

Good restaurants in the General Irvine Area

I know this is a real estate forum but based on the Tustin thread apparently a lot of us love good food as well. I am new to Orange County I just moved here 1 year ago from Ventura County so I’m pretty clueless regarding good restaurants. Since I’m holding off on buying a house for the next...

    Should I buy now...?

Anyones opinion is welcome. nirvinerealtor: We placed the deposit early this year and we never looked back since then. We were committed to buy regardless. But all the CNN reports and nationwide news articles are starting to bother us. These news become reality when the newer phase of the...

    Should I buy now...?

Not that I know off... I do Information Technology consulting and the only thing that happened was I charged a $4k Server on my Credit Card (to get the reward points) and after that I paid it all off at the end on the month when I got the check from the project. They never hit me with financing...

    Should I buy now...?

Add this to the equation... the builder's preferred lender attempted to broker our loan which in effect produced a lot of inquiries on our credit report. Plus our lease on the current apartment is about to expire so they ran a report too! Our credit score when we began this whole fiasco...

    Should I buy now...?

Oddly enough I cant justify paying over $2k for rent. But I am really picky so we got stuck with a 1 bedroom in the North Park Area. I'm never gonna rent a house. Its either buying a house or renting a real nice 1 bedroom for us
