I'm having these thoughts/issues as well. My kids are young, but I'm worried about what will happen down the road, esp in high school. I don't think going to an outrageously competitive high school is a good thing. And I don't believe in supplemental school like Kumon or wherever people go...

Good riddance.  I got a turkey sandwich there once because they supposedly roast and shred their own turkey, and it was terrible. The turkey was so dry and flavorless.

I think iCamp does a camp over the winter break. They usually have locations at parks throughout the city. Also maybe check Rainbow Rising at the elementary schools.

My son barely eats anything for breakfast. He'll eat like half an Eggo waffle or a few bites of leftover pancake from the weekend. Or he'll eat a couple of spoonfuls of cereal, declare himself "FULL!" and dash off to get ready for school.

Thinking of moving, and since I'm indecisive, I want other people's opinions. Right now we're in Irvine, but we don't love the neighborhood or school we are zoned to, and we have no pool...and I've recently decided I MUST HAVE A POOL. (We could put one in, but it would have to be really small)...
