Talking about range, how is the Y range "in real life" for the few owners on this board?
Genuinely curious as there seems to be a lot of diverging opinions (Tesla self tests, advertised range may be difficult to reach etc..).
This is the inverter I have from a 2016 Tesla install, not sure which inverters they are installing nowadays: https://www.delta-americas.com/Products/CategoryListT1.aspx?CID=0505&PID=1759&hl=en-US&Name=Solivia%20Series%203.0%20%E2%80%93%207.6kW

Anybody curious about the Ford Mach-e as a Model Y competitor?
My biggest concern getting in right now is how fast EVs keep improving year over year. You don't really get that with ICEs anymore but if I'm going to pay $40K+ on a car I'd like it to be relevant in 2 years. Or maybe I'm looking at...
It's not as much what they try to get away with but what is being overlooked. A houses in itself is not rocket science to build but there are a lot of different trades being used to build one and they are all subcontractors. So then it's a numbers game, will the builder's superintendent see the...

Andy, you should talk offline to USCTrojanCPA if you don't already have an agent. He was a great resource for us when we bought our first SFH in Irvine and he is very transparent when it comes to commission sharing. He also helped us buy and sell other properties afterwards with top notch service.
To get back on topic, older home may require less immediate spending than newer ones. A new home comes with no landscaping done and no window covering for examples. I can think of other smaller items like appliances, garage storage or lighting that you may have to consider with a new home.
It's...
