totally agree, not enough retail. completely residential means we all will be driving far to get grocery if we don't want to be stuck with Ralphs or Trader Joes.  Only bright spot, there will be a whole foods store coming near spectrum, still better than having to go to the district.

id choose lafayette at stonegate.  great floorplan and sounds like a nice lot.  Plus, no issues whether schooling is in Tustin or Irvine.

yes, given all the options between hidden canyon-toll brother product, the amelia-trevi homes, and brookfield la vita.  overall  la vita is the winner despite the motor court. I'm stating this as my personal preference if I had to choose among all these homes. 

a lot of good points made about temperature variations. Orchard hills will definitely be a lot warmer while hidden canyon will have some coastal breeze.  ultimately I would go with whatever floorpan works best for your family but its important to get a feel of the home in the model home to see...
