What makes you think my biases would support bailouts? I have always preferred governments let the markets decide…during the 2008-10 Real estate collapse i vocallly opposed bailouts of banks and individuals. Changing contracts and forcing renegotiation of mortgages only prolonged the inevitable and made the down cycle last longer than it needed to be.

If you’d told me a few years ago this is where we’d be on Iran, I’d have said you were high:
1. Nuke program set back years. Enrichment and reprocessing gutted, weaponization sites destroyed, Fordow inoperable, Natanz in ruins, a generation of senior nuclear scientists eliminated.
2. Ballistic missile program crippled. Monthly production down from 100 to near zero. Roughly half the regime’s missiles and launchers destroyed. The IRGC Aerospace Force commander who ran the missile enterprise dead.
3. Air defenses devastated. American and Israeli airpower dominating Iranian skies, with strike aircraft operating over the country with near impunity.
4. Full economic warfare. Not just OFAC sanctions anymore, but military pressure layered on top: naval blockade, near-zero oil exports, choked imports, wrecked steel and petrochemical sectors, triple-digit inflation, and a currency that is effectively worthless.
5. Regime decapitation. Khamenei dead. Larijani dead. Hundreds of senior IRGC, intelligence, military, and Basij commanders dead including the IRGC commander-in-chief, the armed forces chief of staff, and the Aerospace Force commander. Mojtaba Khamenei inheriting a hollowed-out regime with no supreme authority and a gutted command structure.
6. The region turning on Tehran. Gulf states shutting down the sanctions-busting, money-laundering, and financial escape routes the regime has relied on for years. No Arab capital willing to throw Iran a lifeline. China and Russia providing limited support.

I agree that Harris would not be on an excursion in Iran. Instead, she might be working on installment 3 of cash to Iran; continuing Obama and Biden's legacy of releasing restricted funds to Iran. These funds help Iran fund their munitions and nuclear enrichment program, and helps fund the almost $1 billion annually that Hezbollah and Hamas receive from Iran.
As for purging the military, perhaps Hegseth was just following in Obama's footsteps

Between 2010 and 2013 Obama engaged in a purge of good military officers, a total of 197. officers who were loyal to the United States and its Constitution were fired or forced out. Biden is continuing that shameful legacy.
The Pentagon was just one of many agencies where Obama purged high level people who were not loyal to him or questioned his agenda. Isn't this what the media accuses Trump of? Yet these same media outlets were quiet when Obama did it; and ignorant people parrot these left-wing Democrat talking points not realizing the hypocrisy.

The NY Times has a long history of using "anonymous sources" to put out hit pieces on people that have no basis in fact. These stories are then used by the FBI to convince judges to issue search warrants. How many stories has the NY Times covered that had no basis in fact; like Russia colluding with Trump in the 2016 election. Since that narrative has been thoroughly debunked perhaps NY Times should return their Pultizer Prize.
