Yes, it was. Speaking of which, I haven't been by there in a while, but I keep wondering what the deal was with the model home yards. They had additional space behind the bushes being used as the cutoff, but I couldn't tell if it was supposed to be an extended part of the yard or if it was going to be HOA maintained common space. It was really strange.

They removed the trees wall before selling off the model home, this is what it looks like for the Plan 2 model

The tree walls were there to help demonstrate the typical Fresco backyard size for potential buyers in the original phases on Parakeet and Abalone :)

I'm pretty sure there is change in materials, for worse. Unless KB retains IP's contractors, I think there is also reduction in quality. Even Shea changed some materials on Cielo. The most disappointing change was the thickness of the quartzite edge for the waterfall island. When we did quartz waterfall island with IP, it was 2.25", and the quartzite waterfall island at the model home was also 2.25", but Shea would only have 1.5". That's really unfortunate because it looks a lot worse. :cry:

Did they offer you an option to upgrade the thickness of the miter edge on your quartzite waterfall island at the design studio?

I agree about IP's quality which was much better than some of the other builders. I'm surprised that Shea is going with cheaper materials after taking over Cielo from IP.

Unfortunately, there was no option to upgrade the thickness. We would have gladly paid for it if there were. I would have to say that IP design center offers better pricing and materials. Shea doesn't even offer windows treatment or closet upgrades, although we would have skipped both. Shea gives buyers the option of leaving the master closet completely empty for ACoE upgrades, but considers it a "favor" to buyers, claiming that they have to rip out the shelves and hanger spaces, etc. Yeah, sure, like I believe that they just didn't do anything. :ROFLMAO:

But Shea design center service is better than IP. Could be specific designer, but we really like the Shea designer compared to IP. She was much more engaging, giving suggestions, etc.
