$877K for Sorano can't be accurate, it must be for their model home.  If you go on Standard Pacific's site, you'll see most of the Move-In ready homes are in the low to mid 700s. Personally, I hated the layout at Sorano, so I purchased a plan 2 at Amber.  It looks like La Floresta's floorplans...

I personally went with bianco romano granite and provenza african plains "black river" wood floors.  The wood is a cracked, hand scraped, distressed type of look, so I never really have to worry about the nuances that come with the smooth, high polished hardwood floors.  Have fun!

ps9 - I have 9 foot ceilings, but wouldn't 108 be too long since there are gaps from the top and bottom?  Most places sell 84", would that be too short?

depends on where you get them, a lot of companies have policies where the delivery guys can not receive tip.  macy's people just delivered, installed, and ran out the door, didn't even have a chance to give them a tip.  but 20 bucks a person is probably sufficient.

@qwerty - we decided on the same...  all shutters would be overwhelming.  we're going with a mix of shutters, combi shades, and curtains...  speaking of curtains anyone know where they sell ones? 

i went with the same route zubs...  mine is taking about 5 weeks...  i also ordered combi shades...  hopefully it'll look nice...

Kind of a random question, hope someone out there can provide insight.  Is it better to live in the cheapest, most expensive, or median tract within a community... Currently there are 4 developed tracts in my community 1 - 1700-2k sq ft price is around mid-high 500's 2 - 2k - 2.2k sq ft price...
