We also looked at SG and liked it there. SG is way better than LA. Much quieter. The reason we bought LA instead is only for high school and convenience.

Trojan is right. have not heard people smelled anything so far. But the concern is the landfill will run for another 40 years to 2050. Who knows how it will smell in 10,15 years. Hopefully nothing but as trash piles up, get more worried.

But.... do you think local roads busy like those in Irvine ( Culver, Jeffrey, Sand Canyon) have less pollution than freeway??? Your assumption is only freeway has pollution.  Just look at how many cars those main roads in Irvine have.

100 treehouse is among worse locations in Quail hill. If you go to 133 treehouse which I went in before, it is so much quieter. I have driven around in Quail Hill a lot just to check out the noises when I was shopping for a house. Many part of Quail Hill is very nice. With the price range...

The houses on Oceanhigh in Newport Coast is 2mm something. Very nice views and etc.

Quail hill is pretty quiet actually. Have you ever been to the single family homes there yourself?  With 405 0.8 mile away is much quieter than have Culver or Jeffrey 0.2 mile from your house. For views, forget about irvine, buddy. Just do yourself a favor and check out Crystal Cove lots...
