there are a few house around the corner of this development selling for 500k. yes it is only 1500sq ft vs 3k sqft. but still.... you would be buying a 1 million dollar home in a working class neighborhood. Is that normal?
update: just visit the place over the weekend. the lay out was decent. the cheaper plan had the better lay out. better use of space. overall tiny and for 500k for a detached condo.... kind of pricey compare to the home around the area is going for 350k-420k with a 7k sqft lot. I was surprise...
back in 2007-dec. i was going to buy one. same plan. i been checking it out. the price back then was 435k +25k in flooring/buy down points +2 years of HOA paid + wood flooring+ plantation shutters+4.5% interest for a 10 year interest only loan and then convert to a 20 year fix.
