Is there any way to find out how much any judgements or liens are on a house in foreclosure other than trying to buy it? In other words, if a house is not for sale yet but you know it soon will be how can you find the total value of liens attached?
The whole situation is ludicrous. You moved to a neighborhood with strict CCRs, you signed them, and now you don't want to live by them! What the hell?
We bought a nice house in Irvine and our neighbors didn't park in their garage or driveway. They had four cars. They had the whole sofa...
Another thread triggered my memory. I read somewhere long ago that Earthquake Insurance is rarely worth it. I forgot the reasoning.
Do any of you Irvine homeowners carry it? I noticed in another thread that people's rent vs own calculations varied wildly due to HOA/Mello/Insurance...
I always think it's so funny when people get all bent out of shape about the police and the stupid calls they have to respond to.
We lived in Venice Beach for three years and trust me, the police blotter looked the same there. Sure there were murders, gang activity, tourist rip-offs...
Wow. This is why I will never go to Mexico again. Sounds like an absolute nightmare.
We used to go down into Baja all the time. Ensenda and such. Waiting in those huge lines to exit the country. Then we started hearing the horror stories. Now it is completely unacceptable to go through...
Until you live that stuff you'll never fully understand it. We had a neighbor that did that to us all the time. I'd go out in the morning and would have to go back in and wrap the garbage in a black bag, seal it, and put it next to my can because the same neighbor would always use mine for his...
Chalk it up to a flea on an elephant's back. Not worth your time and the trouble you'll go through to get it. Write it off as a lesson learned and next time get it in writing immediately.
Now go enjoy your house!
Had a bunch of friends/coworkers get laid off the past 6 months. It's a nightmare out there. Industry is high-tech integrated circuits here in OC. 600 resumes for every open job.
Some were prepared - refi of the house prior to layoff, year of savings, started unemployment right away - they...
Saw an interesting one today and decided to do a little research online.
If you refinanced your home in the past three years and had an auditor discover Truth-In-Lending-Act (TILA) violations on your mortgage papers you can file a Rescission and immediately stop dead the foreclosure...
