Urban Plates & Starbucks Drive-Thru

That is what sets the El toro one apart. The sesame pockets are the biggest and best for stuffing all your food in there.

I need to go there again, too bad kid and wife don't care for MBBQ and my Sat AM haircut next door is too early for them to open.  We need a MBBQ food truck/mobile kitchen in Irvine, I will pay top dollar.

Mongolian BBQ on El Toro also has an AYCE option and it's more authentic (if that really means anything for MBBQ).

BD was Americanized MBBQ, which some may like more, but it wasn't very good as evidenced by the fact that it wasn't open very long.

The one on El Toro has been there for over 20 years.
Thanks, I might try that out.

Yeah, while BD was way Americanized, it was awesome.  I think it was a victim of bad timing and bad advertising and not so great location at the time.  Now the location is better, there are much more people eating out, and I think word would spread better.

I ate at the new UP today.  It feels smaller than the Barranca location. Same great food but shorter lines and more parking.
